Issue:
When you import your Ledger hardware wallet address in your polkadot.js-wallet its a static Polkadot relay chain address which can`t be changed.
If you send substrate-based assets, e.g. Litentry, onto that address they become stuck since there is no Ledger app available in order to sign transactions (sending, staking and so on).
Example:
I`ve sent 720 LIT (from ETH) over the bi-directional ETH <--> Litentry bridge to my imported Ledger address (which is a Polkadot address) 13dtAXZGt9npPzFEJ6LJWeBnRpn4GphVUQVVtiyYnmRLUL7w
After logging in on Cumulon trying to stake my LIT the address changes to a specific Litentry-chain-address which is 493LBHLmoAuMEoncNbc3DaRxTsDAyWDdKZfZxuut9GrTCHuU
Trying to stake will prombt a pop-up saying that there is no app for Ledger for that specific chain in order to sign transactions, hence: my assets are stuck.
After (very helpful) conversations with Remy in the Discord Litentry chat I am starting this discussion to get some attraction regarding this issue.
I cant do an official proposal, because as said my LIT assets are stuck on Ledger and I don`t have any more assets available atm to do so.
Thank you very much for anyone to have an interest to look into that issue / idea.
Polkadot Community is now working for a ledger app to support all Parachains. We are part of it, but it will definitely takes some time.
I suggest to make a on-chain motion to revert the LIT token back.
